How to Write a Business Plan

When you are considering writing a Business Plan there are a number of things to consider. Any business plan needs to be compiled by the owner/manager/director of the business. While a consultant can work with you on this production, it is not wise for a consultant to prepare the plan for you.

Business operators are always busy people and a large number of people tend to put this task aside deciding that they will get around to it later when they have more time... While this may seem like a good idea, the task may continue to be left. Those business people that I have helped with their business plans have all found it has motivated them in both the direction of their business and action of tasks in that direction.

For some people the business plan will be very detailed, for others the plan will be an outline of the direction. The most important thing to gain is for the business decision maker to have quality time reflecting on where the business has been and where it is going. Discoveries are made in the process of making a business plan.
